This Privacy Policy explains how SlugBot collects, uses, and protects your information. By adding SlugBot to your server or interacting with it, you agree to the practices described below.
Data We Collect
We only collect data necessary to provide moderation tools and economy features. This data is linked to your unique Discord User ID.
Moderation Data
To assist server staff in maintaining safety, we log:
- Moderation Actions: Records of kicks, mutes, bans, joins, and leaves.
- User History: A summary of past infractions, accessible via the userinfo command by authorised moderators.
Event Logging
Event logging set up by server admins using the Logging module does not store any data beyond which events should be logged and which channel they should be logged to. All event logs are forwarded to the specified channel and not stored.
Economy Game Data
To provide a persistent gaming experience across different servers, we store:
- Account Balances: Your virtual currency and processes.
- Game Progress: Statistics, levels, etc.
- Channel Investment Data: Some message metadata is stored for the economy game channel investment system. Message author ID, channel ID, and hourly timestamp are stored. We do not store message IDs, message content (text/images), or attachments.
- Customisable Profile Data:
- Selected profile settings, stickers, borders, colours.
- Weekly and total activity Exp (earned by sending messages).
- Uploaded background image.
Leaderboard Data
To provide persistent PvP leaderboard tracking, we store:
- Player Data: Discord user ID, Discord username, points, elo, match history.
- Leaderboard Data:
- Leaderboard settings specified by admins.
- Server ID, relevant channel IDs, relevant role IDs.
SlugBot Functionality
General SlugBot functionality requires the following:
- Account Identifiers:
- Discord user IDs, Usernames, display names.
- twitch User IDs when accounts have been linked or added to streamer lists.
- Server Identifiers:
- Server IDs, channel IDs, role IDs are stored when required for direct SlugBot functionality.
How We Use Your Data
We use the collected information strictly for:
- SlugBot command and module functionality.
- Providing moderators with the tools to keep their communities safe.
- Improving Bot performance and identifying bugs.
Data Retention and Deletion
- Retention: Data is stored as long as the Bot is active and you are a user of its services.
- Deletion: If you wish to have your data deleted, you may email smugslugbot@gmail.com with a deletion request.
- Server Removal: If the Bot is removed from a server, moderation logs specific to that server may be retained for record-keeping unless a deletion request is made.
Third-Party Sharing
We never sell your data. Data is only shared:
- With Discord (as required for the Bot to function).
- If legally required by law enforcement.
Security
We implement industry-standard measures to protect your data from unauthorised access.
